Leen Kawas: Empowering Women to Thrive as Leaders in Biotechnology

Dr. Leen Kawas, a respected leader in the biotechnology industry, embodies this spirit of empowerment and has made significant contributions throughout her career.

As the Managing General Partner at Propel Bio Partners and the former CEO of Athira Pharma, Dr. Kawas has firsthand experience navigating the challenges faced by women in male-dominated industries. During her seven-year tenure at Athira Pharma, she successfully managed several drug development projects, executed the firm’s IPO in September 2020, and secured over $400 million in capital investments.
